Guidelines for Submission

Manuscripts should not exceed 5000 words, excluding notes, and should be prepared according to the latest edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. Notes must NOT exceed 750 words. A list of Works Cited should follow the endnotes, the word count of the list should not be included in the word count of the text or the endnotes. The number of words in the text proper and the endnotes should be listed separately on the cover sheet. Manuscripts exceeding the number of words in the text or the endnotes will not be accepted. Submissions should be sent to the Editor electronically in Word, in two separate attachments: one with the article proper excluding the author's name; another with a cover page, including title of the article and detailed contact information for the author (name, school affiliation, address, email, phone and fax numbers, date of submission, and number of words). NPEC has a policy of blind review; therefore, the author's name should not appear on the manuscript. Articles should normally be written in English, and all quotations in other languages should be translated into English, with the original appearing in parentheses for quotations under 10 words, or in the endnotes for longer ones. Pages should be numbered, using an abbreviated title of the article. A list of Works Cited should be added at the end of articles, past the notes.
